Meet Lois and Zechariah, Our Beloved Comfort Dogs!

Lois and Zechariah aren’t just dogs, they are a source of love, comfort, and hope. As part of the Lutheran Church Charities K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry, Lois and Zechariah bring smiles and healing wherever they go – schools, hospitals, community events, and beyond!

This year Lois is retiring after a long career. Her gentle presence and wagging tail, Lois helps open hearts and lift spirits. She creates a safe space for people to feel calm, connect, and even find the strength to receive the support they need.

Zechariah, while still in training, is already a beloved member of the Comfort Dog ministry.

Want to be a part of something truly meaningful?

Great Christmas Idea and the money goes to OUR Comfort Dog Ministry “Lois”

After Lois retires (in a few years), FGS is looking to continue comfort dog ministry with a new dog. Please contact Jennifer Pollock if you are interested in serving on this ministry team. If you aren’t able to volunteer, but would like to financially support the ministry, please bring your offerings to church and mark them for comfort dog ministry.

Check out Lois’ Facebook page to see all the great adventures she has had so far.

Contact the church office if you wish to schedule a visit.

My Bible verse is Galatians 5:22, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.”
